Purple Denim Suit

made by Linda Wiese

Linda had a length of purple denim that she wanted to make into something, so she put her embroidery machine to work, making a beautiful monochromatic patchwork vest.

In the center of selected blocks, she embroidered a flower in a slightly darker shade of purple thread than the denim. Then, she pieced the blocks together, then stitched along the seams using a programmed stitch design she found in Pfaff's Creative Designer book.

After completing construction of the vest, she decided she needed something to wear it with. There was still some denim yardage remaining, so she made a simple jeans-style skirt.

Great outfit, isn't it?
